careful got lots of conmen outside..when I was in Beijing they just put bus 919 number there but no bus...instead a few men just pop by and ask us whether we want a cab anot haha...is only later we realize we got conned...baidaling is accessible by train and bus~~~

Yes. That is something that I have read a well. Any ways to know which one is the correct bus number 919?

I was there recently. Pollution was not a problem. Going mutianyu after forbidden city is a terrible idea. You need a day for each. Unless you just want to touch and go, which is utterly pointless. I rather skip the overcrowded badaling for one full day at mutianyu and take my time to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the scenery. Remember to factor in traveling time, as traffic jam in the city can be quite bad.

I don't think it is healthy to breath in those pollutant particles . It was also reported that there are people who are leaving Beijing due to the pollution problem and I think the scale read 200, the last I see.
