There are 5 types of DVI connectors. Do the pins on both connectors match?

If so, then you are not inserting the connector properly.

DVI-D (dual link)

Your Zotac GPU did not come with the converter inside the box?

By converter, you mean a DVI-D to VGA converter then to a DVI-D to DVI-D cable? Try getting a DVD-I to VGA. Also, DVI-D (2nd pic) will work with DVI-I (1st pic, yellow slot).

If cant work, maybe try with another KVM? If not just buy HDMI-VGA cable

i bot the adapter for $1.80 @ Challenger but doesn't work

something like this

then i tot card problem but i read more info on this

In your case, you KNOW you ONLY have a DVI-D (aka ONLY digital) output for your DVI output. An "active" converter is required. You need to "convert" the digital signal to an analog signal if you want to use that VGA only monitor. If you just use an adapter cable (i.e. "passive"), it WILL NOT work

is it true? i need to buy active type?

Did you even notice the DVI, one is male and the other is female?

How would it fixed if you get the wrong DVI to VGA converter

Suggest you to use hdmi instead and make sure you get the correct sizes
wrong ..? no leh can slot in to the card...just doesn't work

im using hdmi to vga works but not mine
