hi guys

recently, my computer after shutting down one fine day after a normal day of usage. the following day when i wanted to turn it on, it wouldn't budge.

tried taking in and out the ram, no response.

totally dead.

usually in this scenario, is it safe to say, it is a psu error?

current psu is a season X 750watts gold 80+

has been rma-ed before at corbell, lasted me a good 4 years..

suspect, plus i don't seem to have a spare psu..

i doubt there's warranty..

Seasonic X-750 have 7 years warranty. Do claim it if necessary. Any light at your rig to indicate it still have power?

happened to my g series also
switched off socket then wanted to on again 5mins later...
no smoke no spark no smell

try the fan test to confirm,the fan shouldn't be spinning

This particular model has a lot of problem. One fine day of using and then shutdown, next day won power up. Got to off and on the main socket a few times.. and when its off, got to let it be off for at least 30 mins. Then power on again. It should have at least 5 years warranty, go get it replaced.

test your pau then.. remove all the power cables them jump the 24-pin to check if the fan will spin

Do a paperclip test to confirm if PSU is dead. You can google to learn how to do it.

hi thanks all for the reply

i borrowed a psu from a friend and tested it out. connecting only the mobo and cpu power cables. the computer managed to start up.

thus i decided to just temp use his psu..

connected up with everything and it powers on for a split second before no power again. now even with the spare psu i am not able to get any power.. not sure what was wrong.. very certain for a moment was the psu but now i'm lost.

when i use the seasonic cable, which means the seasonic psu's sata cable to connect to the spare psu(cosair cs550m) then this issue of split second power, followed by no power occurs. could it be a cable issue? or could it be my ssd or hdd which has an issue.

You should have extra sata power cable to test right?

I don't think you should be using PSU cables for one model with a different PSU. Could have potentially bad outcomes.
