How to recontract by changing to new number but still maintain old number? You can only have one number, unless u contract another number (NEW contract, not recontract).

There won't be any sharing of data in that case, because it's two separate contracts.

I thought there used to be this option when you get a new number, where you call people and the other party will see is the new number and people who call your old number will also get routed to your new number?

That will require you to set up call forwarding on your old number. You will need to continue keeping your old number active (paying for it, while making a NEW contract for a new number, also paying for that) and also pay any call forwarding fees (not sure if there are any). When call is forwarded it is charged to your old number as an outgoing call, so there are those charges too (unless you use up the outgoing minutes).

So under M1 SurfShare, is it the same as multi-SIM from Singtel, i.e. all the SIMs are of the same tel number?

M1 surfshare is new number, share talktime and data with old number.
Basically one plan with 2 numbers.

I see, so that is the difference.

I saw SurfShare and Multi-sim service on M1's website, was confused a bit initially.

M1 SurfShare is back to $12.84 already. Can't extend the promo.

Last time can extend afaik as the $6.42 promo still exist, till 31 March 2017.
