Hi, recently i have bought a Asus UX32LA and i do really love the portability it provide as compared to my old lappy of 2.5kg.

But i have some question where i would like to ask and hope to seek some help here.

1. I found out that when i open up like >6 tab in firefox, my lappy will starts to responds very slowly... My power setting already set to "Power4Gear High Performance", but its still the same. Anything wrong? Already running on 8gb ram... and those links that i open up are only words and picture with no flash or animations.

2. Can i downgrade to Win7 myself? i dont really like how win 8 works.... i dont know it is just me or what, i find win8 like quite slow? and also i cant seems to find my things due to the new layout....

Thank you for help in any replies!

Asus is known to either A) use shitty speed HDD in their laptops, or B) subpar software interfering with system experience. SSD can help a lot with the lagginess you're currently experience with even basic usage. Most likely the HDD's IOPS choking itself already :s13:

My sister's 1st gen 2012 Zenbook got A), bolted with a shite Sandick "SSD" that performed slower than a 2009 5400rpm HDD.

128GB Crucial MX100 - $105
256GB Crucial MX100 - $155

when your com lags , pull up task manager using ctrl+shift+esc, and see what is taking up cpu time

I usually fresh install, OSes, just download the drivers from the Asus website. Find an image of a legit Win 8 os, burn it or transfer usb drive using the MS provided usb tool. You don't have to enter the cd key, it auto turns detects.

Instead of using the start menu to look for things, in win 8 just use windowskey+q and type in the program you want:)
