Hi all,

I just change a set of 4 new tyres today and i was wondering if it is a need to do the wheel alignment?

When changing the 4 tyres, they only do the balancing (spin and stick small metal piece) but i didn't see them doing the computerized alignment.

So is it ok to skip the wheels alignment or it is advisable to do wheel alignment now for my case?

Thanks.

Usually change of rims or when car goes awefully off then do alignment.

Change tyre, I won't.

For change of tyres, I think wheel alignment is not required.
I will however advise you to do balancing.

B&B cars not much alignment to do, only can adjust front toe (car with rear torsion beam no alignment required). Unless something is damaged, then the alignment will not shift. Better go for maintenance check or you prefer do alignment first to check if something is damaged (maybe if you hit a kerb hard).

For B&B cars, if u want to adjust camber, easy way is a camber bolt (google it to see the pros and cons).

Thats why B&B cares are low maintenance, its can take a lot of punishment, low quality petrol, lower quality EO etc without affect it much.

If you want to know more about ur car, its only around $50 for alignment. Stick around and ask the guy questions or see what he does.

K thanks. When I ask the tyre shop, he gave me a very unconvincing yes as an answer.

Not really necessary unless you change rim size/profile. But if you haven't done alignment for 2yrs or more, then might as well do it. Hope this helps. :)
