I am using dev tun (tunnel)
I am thinking whether is there more security using dev tap(transport)

From what i know tunnel is gateway to gateway vs transport host to host

I am not concern about the overhead but more of security. So i should use dev tap right?

Performance wise, both will be relatively the same depends on how noisy your network is. The main difference is one is layer 3 and the other is layer 2. You are advise to just know from the horse mouth - https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/BridgingAndRouting
