Hi guys

I am looking to get either the i3-4160 or i5-4460 for my new PC, and the motherboard I'm going for will be the ASRock H81M-HDS.

From my research, what I know is that the support for Haswell Refresh processors requires a BIOS flash version of 1.90 and 1.60 respectively. However, as this is a new PC that I will be buying, I do not have a standard Haswell processor to flash the BIOS up.

My question is - if I'm buying from SLS shops, will they provide me the service of flashing the BIOS to support the i3-4160/i5-4460 or I'm out of luck and I have to buy the Z series motherboard?

Thanks!

Maybe new batch then updated BIOS?

I have not check with SLS shops but I presume that the board that they are carrying are of updated BIOS, unless their stock is NOS. I'm just worried that they may not carry the updated BIOS and I will have to update it myself.. if that's the case I won't be able to do so because I don't have a standard Haswell processor.

That's great to know! Which shop did you buy it from?
