To do multitasking, watching video and doing other stuff at 1 time

Currently I'm planning to change my psu to this $109
Superflower Golden Green HX 600W Modular 80PLUS Gold Power Supply

I left $300 to spend

Can always get it from Amazon. Got my Intel 530 for $110. Might take 1-2 weeks to reach your house though.

Actually, 1X stick of 8GB RAM is good enough, it is not like using dual-channel RAMs will make his rig 3X faster anyway.
yup..... but he mention he multitasking... and i dont know the extend of his multitasking... and he got the budget... so jus get it lo

I'm using a 1666 8 gb ram can I upgrade it to dual channel?
If you want dual channel configuration, must use exactly the same stick of RAM with your other other RAM. Can get another different stick of RAM with your current stick of RAM, just that both sticks will run in single channel mode, performance is still about the same anyway, nothing to lose sleep over.

Im using 4 + 4, but diff brand. How do I noe if dual channel is enabled? I see the the ram section in speccy reads 8gb blah..blah.. Dual channel...something. Do diff brands matter?

1) A quick look at the memory section in CPU-Z/HWInfo will be enough to tell you if your RAMs are running in dual-channel.

2) Actually, think as long as these conditions are met, can try to run in dual channel mode with a reasonable chance of success:
-same RAM frequency and timings
-same capacity
-same RAM NAND (the black chips that you see on a stick of RAM) chip manufacturer

A bit tricky to meet these conditions with RAM sticks of different brands (especially the third one), using the same brand will significantly increase the chance of meeting these conditions.

Personally I store my OS and most often played games in my ssd. But you need to watch if you wanna play origin games.

Cos if you install origin on ssd then all the games from there auto install on ssd. Not like steam where you can install the program on ssd and the games on another drive.
