Hi.

Just to check with you all. For those of you who are with Starhub, do you have to turn off cellular data when you are on wifi? I never had to do that when I was with Singtel. When I switched to Starhub, my usage spiked and the CSO said that it is due to my cellular data being utilized when I am on wifi. I find that totally ridiculous. Am I being smoked?

Because if you don't switch off your cellular data... and when you are in an area where the wifi signal is not "strong".... it will auto jump to your cellular data.... that is why some of us (I am not one of them.... :D) switch off cellular data.... of course another reason is maybe your phone wifi got problem?? or maybe SH signal lousy?? :s11::s8:

New phone. Wifi shows strong connection. So it should not be a problem. Plus the main usage is at home.

What the CSO told me was even if I am connected and surfing on wifi, my data plan will also be used up concurrently. That's rubbish right?

This is true. Some phone support both wifi and cellular at the same time to boost download speed.
