nothing wrong just that you can make better choices

if only dota 2, gpu abit too stronk. Anything above GTX 950 is way overkill.

PSU just get a superflower leadex 550w silver psu if not going top of the line gpus

get an ssd while you're at it

what he means is your graphics card is too overkill for dota 2, the gtx 950 will already max out 60 fps so getting a 960 for only dota is a waste of money. your build is okay

You wont need a 700w psu for just one graphics card, 500w will be just fine. Since you only have 2 ram slots, forget dual channel and just get 1 8gb stick, cheaper and easier to upgrade in future. If you're only playing dota 2, a gtx 950 will be enough for ultra settings, no need for an r9 380, instead use the money to get a 240gb zotac premium at lazada for $104+3 with lazada app code WOWAPP $15 off for your boot drive.

if the gpu overkill dota 2 , does it affect the fps and performance?

but my friend told me he is encountering fps problem with current gpu and almost similar build

There are many factors that cause this like heat throttling, did not update graphic driver and many more.

You must be detail with the problem if not, it is very hard for us to give you an answer.

And is the current gpu a R9 380?

Dota 2 is hardly an intensive game, even in a lower end GPU it can kick out 60fps easily

If the FPS dips below 60fps, could be due to other factors
