questions on rooting S4

hi i am new to rooting android phone and i am a complete noob on this. i have some questions that need the experts help. And yes i did search youtube and website for information before asking for help here.

anybody has success rooted their s4 using odin before?
what are the other ways to root beside using odin?
because i tried to root it using odin but failed
i am using gs4 gt i9505

Yes I have.
Well Odin is the best and most stable method at the moment and It is very very simple.

Try following this from XDA developers.

thanks for the link and enlightenment bro, i have success rooting my s4
i think the fault lie on my USB port that i am unable to root
now time to flash some roms and have fun

Great to hear that, but make sure you make backups of your current firmware before doing too much changes to the device. You will need to flash a recovery for custom roms so here.. This should do and it can do backups too.
