Hi all, since i'll be getting a gigabyte board, should i update the bios since i heard the other boards tend to slightly overvolt the 9900K. does this overvolting issue applies to all gigabyte boards?

My spec are:
CPU: I7 9700K
Mobo: Gigabyte Z390 gaming X

Thanks in adavance! :)

I always update the BIOS since the shipping BIOS is usually not optimized.

Just remember not to switch off the power or otherwise interrupt the BIOS updating process.

Quite safe if you are using Gigabyte. The high-end boards have Dual BIOS so no worries there. :)
