The Power of Truth…

Good morning. Today, let’s reflect on the power of truthful words and the lasting legacy they create. May we find the courage to speak the truth, even when it’s difficult.

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
Proverbs 12:19

Have you ever noticed how a small lie can start to feel like a trap? One small deception leads to another until we’re caught in a web of our own making. Proverbs 12:19 speaks to this heart struggle: while lies fade like morning mist, truth stands forever.

The enemy whispers that bending the truth will make life easier—protecting our reputation, avoiding conflict, sparing someone’s feelings. But each time we choose deception, something precious slips away. Our fellowship with God dims, trust in our relationships, cracks, and the peace we thought we were protecting drifts further from reach.

Truth, though not always easy to speak, offers us something beautiful and lasting. When we choose honest words, we step into the freedom Christ died to give us. We reflect God’s unchanging character, and our relationships grow stronger, built not on shifting sand but on the bedrock of trust.

Today, let’s choose truth not because it’s easy, but because it’s eternal. For when our words echo God’s heart, they create a legacy that glorifies Him long after we speak them.

Where in your life are you tempted to shade the truth for an easier path?

How might choosing complete honesty today strengthen your relationships with God and others?

Loving Father, in a world where truth often seems negotiable, anchor my heart in Your unchanging Word. When speaking honestly feels costly or uncomfortable, fill me with Your wisdom and courage. Help me trust that Your way of truth, though sometimes harder, always leads to freedom. Shape my words with Your grace, that they might build up rather than tear down. Thank You for showing me, through Jesus, that the truth wrapped in love can heal and restore. May my words today be like echoes of Your heart, bringing light to the darkness around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Elijah called down fire that killed the people who came against him.(2 kings 1:10)
Elisha cursed the children who ridiculed him and they were killed by bears.(2 Kings 2:24)
But in the New Testament, the Apostles James and John wanted to call down fire like Elijah had done,in order to destroy a city that had rejected Jesus but Jesus rebuked them saying,”you do not know what manner of spirit you are of.” (Luke 9:54-55)
Jesus Christ commands us to bless and not curse those who come against us.
The Bible forbids us from cursing those who may persecute us.
Romans 12:14 says,”Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.”
Jesus says that by us blessing our enemies instead of cursing them,it is what will create a distinction between God’s children and unbelievers.
Jesus had power to call down God’s Judgment on those who were killing Him,but instead,He healed the ear of someone who came to arrest Him.
Jesus led by example by praying for those who killed Him saying,“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
The Apostles of Jesus Christ followed in His footsteps.
Stephen also prayed for those who were killing him.
Acts 7:60,”Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.”
Jesus says God our Father blesses both the good and wicked with rain and sunshine therefore He also expects us to bless our enemies, not curse.
Matthew 5:38-39,”You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’
But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.”
Matthew 5:43-47,”You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?”
In the end times, many deceptive spirits have gone forth to deceive unto perdition.
Although not everyone can have the gift of discernment of spirits,it’s easy to know a person operating by a spirit that is contrary to the Spirit of God if you study scripture.
A person operating by the Holy Spirit will not curse their opponents for disagreeing with them no matter how persecuted they may be.
But like Jesus and the Apostles, they will bless and endure because the Holy Spirit in them delights in showing mercy.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4:12,”………….. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;”
We live in such dangerous times of deception therefore we all need to personally study scripture,to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and to personally seek God whole heartedly and not rely on any person.
1 John 4:1,”Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
It is necessary for deception to be rampant because that is how God let’s us know that time is up!
It is a sign of the end times.
But the Spirit of God cannot contradict His word.
Therefore if you personally know God’s word it will be easy to know those sent to deceive.
Matthew 24:24,”For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

A Trusting Heart…

Good morning! Today, let’s embrace the promise of God’s wisdom, freely given to those who seek it with a trusting heart.

Before I start, I wish you all a very blessed day!

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5

Throughout life’s journey, we inevitably encounter pivotal moments and tough decisions that can significantly impact our future. Whether we’re grappling with career options, navigating relationship complexities, or confronting personal struggles, these crossroads can evoke feelings of confusion, anxiety, and indecision.

But James 1:5 offers us a lifeline. When we lack wisdom, we have a direct line to the source of all wisdom: God Himself. The beauty of this promise lies in its simplicity. We don’t need to prove our worthiness; we simply need to ask. And when we do, God promises to give generously, without finding fault.

This is the heart of a Father who delights in guiding His children. He invites us to tap into His infinite wisdom, to let His light illuminate our path.

Today, if you’re facing a situation where you need wisdom, take heart. You have a God who is ready and willing to guide you. Trust that He will give you the wisdom, clarity, and strength you need.

Remember, you are not alone. Your Heavenly Father loves you and is always just a prayer away. You should make it a daily habit!

Heavenly Father, when the road ahead seems foggy, and I’m unsure of where to turn. Please be my guide. I know I don’t always have the wisdom to make the best choices, but I trust that You do. Open my heart and mind to Your guidance, Lord. Give me the clarity and understanding I need to navigate life’s challenges. Help me to follow Your path, even when it’s not the one I would have chosen. Thank you for being a loving Father who never leaves my side. I trust in Your wisdom and your perfect plan for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.

His Watchful Eye…

Good morning!! Today, let’s find peace in knowing we’re watched over by a God who never sleeps.

He will not let your foot slip— He who watches over you will not slumber.
Psalm 121:3

Sometimes life often feels like walking in the dark, doesn’t it? We take careful steps, unsure of what lies ahead, trying our best not to stumble. In these moments, Psalm 121:3 comes alongside us with an incredible promise: we have a God who never takes His eyes off us.

Through every uncertain step and clouded path, He watches over us with unwavering attention. Not from a distance, but right beside us, guarding each step with perfect care. While we sleep, He’s awake. While we worry about tomorrow, He’s already there.

This isn’t just about avoiding falls—it’s about resting in the arms of perfect love. Even in our darkest nights, even when we can’t see the next step clearly, we’re held secure by a Father who never sleeps, never grows tired, never looks away.

Today, whatever path stretches before you, remember this truth: you’re walking under the protective gaze of eyes that never grow weary.

Dear Father, Today, I just want to thank You for reminding me that You are always near—never sleeping, never looking away, never losing sight of me. When everything ahead feels uncertain, it brings such peace knowing Your eyes are already there. Sometimes, the next step feels uncertain, and worry finds its way into my heart. But You’re always awake, always watching, always holding me safe. Thank You for this beautiful promise – that Your love never grows tired of caring for me, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In the darkest of nights cling to the assurance that God loves you, that He always has advice for you, a path that you can tread and a solution to your problem–and you will experience that which you believe.

A Heart Open To Love…

Good morning! Let’s start this day with a heart open to the love God calls us to share.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8

Imagine waking up each morning with only one debt on your mind – the debt of love. Paul’s words in Romans 13:8 invite us to see love not as a fleeting emotion but as a beautiful, lifelong obligation.

In a world fixated on settling accounts, we’re called to a radical way of living: to be in constant, joyful arrears of love. This isn’t about grand gestures but daily deposits of kindness. A patient word to a frustrated spouse, a helping hand to a struggling neighbor, forgiveness offered to someone who’s hurt us – each act is a payment on this sacred debt.

Here’s the paradox: the more we pay, the richer we become. Every loving action enriches our relationships, deepens our character, and reflects God’s heart to a world in desperate need of it.

This debt knows no limits. It extends to family, friends, strangers, and even those who oppose us. In faithfully paying it, we fulfill the very essence of God’s law.

Today, embrace your identity as a love debtor. How can you make a payment right now? In doing so, you might just start a revolution of grace in your corner of the world.

Loving Father, thank you for the precious command to love others as You have loved me. As I begin this day, open my heart to see every interaction as a chance to reflect Your grace. Give me eyes to notice the needs around me and the compassion to respond with kindness. When I’m tempted to withhold love, remind me of the debt I owe—a debt paid in full by Your Son, Jesus. May my words and actions be an outpouring of Your love, bringing hope and healing to all I meet. Help me to love without reserve, knowing that in loving others, I am fulfilling Your greatest command. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.

In Gods Hands…

Good morning! I wish you all a very blessed day!

Let’s start this day with the assurance that our plans, hopes, and dreams are tenderly held in God’s wise hands.

In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
Proverbs 16:9

In our human nature, we crave control. We devise plans, set goals, and plot our course, seeking to shape our future with our hands. But Proverbs 16:9 offers a gentle reminder that while we have the freedom to make plans, it’s God who directs our steps.

This verse isn’t about abandoning our dreams or goals; rather, it’s a call to align our intentions with God’s will. It’s about recognizing that our knowledge is limited, our view is partial, but God sees the bigger picture. He knows the best path for us and leads us there, often in ways we didn’t foresee.

As you go about your day, allow this verse to sink into your heart. Make your plans, set your goals, but do so with a spirit of surrender, inviting God into your planning. Trust in His guidance, for He sees the whole journey and promises to lead you where you need to be.

How can you more actively seek God’s guidance in your planning?

Are there areas in life where we need to trust God more with the outcomes?

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. We all recognise this verse as Hebrews 11:1, and I bring it out here because when I look at some of the comments and some that aren’t there when they should be, I see we all are showing a sign of lack of faith. As most of you know, I have my Masters degree in psychology and tend to read between the lines with people. So my hope is today to remind everyone that our steps are guided by God through our faith and His Grace.

Dear Heavenly Father, as I map out my day, I pause to submit my plans to You, acknowledging that while my perspective is narrow, Yours is boundless. Guide my thoughts and actions, ensuring they align with Your divine will. When my desires stray from Your path, gently steer me back, granting me the humility to accept Your better way. I place my trust in Your wisdom and love, confident that You are guiding me towards a future filled with hope and purpose. May my heart remain open to Your leading, every step of today and beyond. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love, and the future to God’s providence.

Duped By A Stuffed Bear…

When I was growing up, the fair would come to town every year. They had games that were rigged to make it nearly impossible to win the prize. They had basketball with a hoop so small that it was almost impossible to get the ball into it.

But hoping to win a stuffed bear for my mother, I made an attempt after an attempt to win the prize – each time shelling out more money. People tried to stop me, but I would not be stopped. I finally won, and it only cost me $34.00… for a stuffed bear that cost about .50¢ to produce!

So, too, there are a lot of pursuits in life that are not worth winning. You might be striving for success, money, position, or possessions but losing everything that’s truly valuable in the process.

Don’t strive to win a worldly victory that will end up making you lose your family, your marriage, your peace, your intimacy, and life with God. Give up that empty pursuit, and find your peace with God… or you could end up paying $34.00 to win a stuffed animal that’s only worth .50¢.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14

Today, put aside any pursuit that is not of God and is fruitless. Pursue Him.

Walk daily with God at your side!

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”
Luke 14:33
The kingdom of God requires that we give up things in preference of Jesus Christ.
If we hold on to sinful things and try to follow Jesus,He’s made it clear we can’t.
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’
then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’(these are people who were familiar with God’s presence.
They had experienced His presence and even benefited through spiritual gifts like prophecy or healing and that’s why they said they are and drank in God’s presence. They were familiar with His voice yet paid no attention to live in obedience to God.
They experienced God’s presence yet chose their sins at the same time!
Jesus continues and says,
“But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God.
And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”
Luke 13:24-30
Being part of God’s kingdom requires forsaking sin, forsaking idols, choosing Christ and obedience to Him instead of everything else.
It’s about complete surrender.

Greatest Love Story…

Good morning! Today, let’s pause to remember the greatest love story ever told – how far God went to reach us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

There are moments when even the most familiar words unveil their treasures anew. John 3:16 isn’t just a verse we memorize; it’s the greatest love story ever told. Its beauty lies not in flowery language but in the raw, sacrificial truth of a Father’s heart.

The God who shaped galaxies and spoke stars into existence poured out a love so vast it encompasses every soul, yet so intimate it reaches every heart. In a world that constantly demands we prove our worth, here stands a love so radical it gave heaven’s most precious gift before we took our first breath.

When we read, “God so loved,” that tiny word “so” carries the weight of eternity: the depth of grace, the height of sacrifice, and the breadth of forever. God didn’t just love; He loved like this—to the point of giving His only Son.

When we grasp this truth, everything changes. The One who holds the universe in His hands holds you even closer. The Father gave His only Son not just to save you but to bring you close to His heart—forever. That’s how treasured you are. That’s how wanted. That’s how loved.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your love is the greatest truth I will ever know. It’s a love that sacrificed everything, a love that reaches into the darkest corners of my soul and floods them with light. Help me to walk in this love today. Let it be the beat of my heart, the melody of my words, and the rhythm of my actions. May I love others not by my own strength but by the power of Your boundless grace. Draw me closer to You with each passing moment. Let Your love be the air I breathe, the ground beneath my feet, and the horizon I walk towards. For in Your love, I find my true home, my deepest purpose, and my eternal joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung and bled and died, it was God saying to the world, ‘I love you.’

Where Do You Turn…

Good afternoon. Today, let’s lift our eyes to the One who never sleeps. I know where my help comes from, but today, I ask you where your help comes from?

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2

As I present two of my favorite verses and reflect on just how He brought me through so many challenges, let’s take a close look at our lives. Life often presents us with mountains that seem insurmountable. In those moments, it’s natural to look around frantically for help. But the psalmist offers us a different perspective – look up instead.

These verses aren’t just poetic; they’re a powerful reminder of where our true help lies. When we lift our eyes to God, we’re acknowledging His immense power and love. He’s not just any helper; He’s the Creator of everything we see and beyond.

Consider this: the same God who formed mountains and stars cares deeply about your struggles. Whether you’re facing health issues, relationship troubles, or feeling lost, your help comes from the Lord. He’s not distant or uninterested. He’s right there, ready to assist, guide, and comfort.

Today, whatever challenge you’re facing, remember to look up first. Your help isn’t just coming; it’s already here, in the form of a loving Father who moves heaven and earth for you.

What “mountains” am I facing that I need to entrust to God?

How can I practically remind myself to look to God first in challenging situations?

When I look at these questions, I know exactly where my help comes from and just how much love He has blessed me with throughout my life.

Dear Lord, I know I’m not alone in feeling overwhelmed by the mountains in my life. Sometimes, it feels like they’re towering over me, threatening to crush me. But today, I choose to look up to remember that you’re the one who holds the whole world in Your hands. You are bigger than my problems, stronger than my fears, and more loving than I can ever imagine. Thank you for being my refuge, my fortress, my ever-present help. Please fill me with your peace and give me the courage to face whatever comes my way, knowing that my help comes from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came. Anticipate your battles; fight them on your knees before temptation comes, and you will always have victory.
