Today’s verse reminds us of the hope of heaven:

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4, ESV)

Think about that — no pain, no sorrow, no tension, no sin. The world we live in is temporary, filled with struggles, unfairness, and brokenness. But the Bible promises a place where all of that is gone, because God Himself dwells with His people.

This is not automatic for everyone. Jesus said plainly: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

At the end of the day, this is the most important decision every one of us must make in this short life — do we believe Jesus is the only way, the only truth? Heaven is real, but so is separation from God.

The door is still open now. But one day it won’t be. Better to settle this decision in this temporal world than regret for eternity.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1 Peter 1:3, ESV)

This morning I wrote a short blessing message to some elderly, starting with this verse in Chinese:

“愿颂赞归于我们主耶稣基督的父神” (1 Peter 1:3).

And I just paused — amazed how beautiful and powerful those words are.

It’s not just poetic… it’s real hope.

Because through Jesus, we’re born again into a living hope, not tied to this world’s ups and downs, but anchored in something eternal.

Many chase meaning through money, success, or love — but none can give the kind of peace that comes from knowing the One who conquered death.

So if you’re still searching, maybe it’s time to ask yourself — where is your hope anchored? The truth and the answer are already here, waiting for you to believe.
