Bump for advices.

You so long never hoot. Now the items all not really worth it.

1st thing is the RAM you do not need a 1866mhz ram. A 1600mhz ram will do and rams now are insanely expensive.

2nd you do not need the cooler as no overclocking is needed.

3rd GTX760 is no longer value for money.

4th PSU is no longer value for money.

5th with Asus board you may not have sufficient budget for the rest of the components. And Asus gpu is nuts pricing. So drop the idea of Asus branding when you have a tight budget.

1.5k

MSI B85 G43 Gaming + i5-4570 ~ $384
Gskills ripjaws 1600mhz 2x4gb ~ $110
WD Blue 1tb ~ $78
Crucial M500 240gb ~ $235
MSI R9 280X 3gb Twin Frozr ~ $440
Superflower HX500 500w 80+ Gold Semi Modular ~ $89
NZXT H230 Silent Chassis ~ $109
Samsung ODD ~ $21

Total ~ $1466. Buy at tradepac. DIY.

Crucial M500 240gb ~ $235
MSI R9 280X 3gb Twin Frozr ~ $440 - I thought Radeon GPU will generate more heat?
Superflower HX500 500w 80+ Gold Semi Modular ~ $89 - Possible to get a fully modular within my budget?
NZXT H230 Silent Chassis ~ $109
Samsung ODD ~ $21

Thanks for your recommendations.

Hahaha... I was very busy all the while and some of my components just died so I have no choice but to hoot now.

Anything that I can hoot from Amazon to save cost?

Fully modular PSU is found on more higher end PSU. Which generally gonna cost more. Around $159 the cheapest RM650 from Corsair.

Next is if you wanna get from amazon, please get the SSD from amazon. There are a few promo you have missed. Like Intel 530 240gb at $149USD.

GO try shopping around for an SSD there.

So only SSD is a good buy from Amazon and not the rest?

Is Asrock H87 Performance better than MSI B85 G43 Gaming since they are about the same price, $390 vs $384?

Slightly different.

H87 and B85 chipset difference.

But in terms of value it will be the Asrock H87 Performance.
