Any recommendation for quiet psu? Budget is ~$150, wattage ~650w. Preferably fanless mode in idle and quiet under gaming load. Tks :)

Seasonic X-650W gold, arnd $165-$175. Or can consider cheaper Cooler Master V600/700W gold, oem is Seasonic using similar/same platform but you need to check on your end if it also fanless at low loads.

Quiet PSU?

I would highly recommend Seasonic X series or P series.

Comes with a Sanyo Denki Ball Bearing Fan. Till date the fan is dead silent.

Thanks bros for all the recommendations, looks like seasonic x series or sf leadex are the way to go. Was also planning to get leadex gold 650w at first but all store in sls no stock. If I get the 850w one, will it be quieter as its running at lower %load if they are using same fan diameter?

I think your 970 is going to be more noisy than your PSU.

Thinking of buying a fully modular psu..... If next time need to RMA, can I just bring the PSU without the cables???

Easier if can just bring PSU alone, don't need to redo all the cables management....

Depends. If testing is needed you might need to bring down the cable.

Seasonic X series tend to have coil whine issues. I had to RMA mine twice before I got one that was bearable

Fsp aurum not quiet enough? Unless you're placing a probe besides your psu, the sound is almost negligible.
