I had been gambling for years. To the extend of sport gambling. Wake up in the morning, look at what games is open on spool and then anyhow press. Sure there were big wins but also came big losses. I think I may have at least lost a Toyota vios all these years.
The joy for me in gambling is not so much the winning money part. I do not eat better food, buy more stuff when I win. Whether I win or lose, I still go to my favorite bukit timah market to eat the chai tao kuey.
The satisfaction that I get from winning is the feeling that the bookie's did not get me, and I outsmarted them.
There were many instances on the forum when people talked about quiting gambling. It never cross my mind, and to be fair, I have no opinion whether quiting gambling is possible or not.
Up until last week, I found a new hobby, selling Tamiya toys online. If has kept me really busy, earning 10 to 15 dollars a day. Small amount but fulfilling.
Instead of looking at Singapore pools website, I am searching for new products to list on my ebay.
Realise gambling addiction is more due to boredom than anything else. Especially when you have nothing to do.
I am fortunate enough to find a new money generating hobby. That takes me off the gambling hobby.
Just like Wang Lei, I guess he too have nothing to do then commit to gambling. After he found his new hobby to talk cock and sell online. He has a new mental refuge and stop gambling liao.
I wouldnt say I will stop gambling 100% but I think I will cut down 98%.
For those of you who thinks quitting gambling is impossible, its just that you havent found your calling😊
if u think wang lei has quit gambling, then continue believing it..
i think some folks who visit mbs would say otherwise

Slowly build up capital. Surely you can make a good income in the future if you work at it.

Good luck!
Thanks bro. I have high financial freedom. Doing this tamiya thingy is more a pass time thing than to make profit. As long dont lose money.

It just incidentally takes me away from spool page visit. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Have a friend of mine, end of the month when he used up his money or lose money on gambling, he will resort sneaking into airport staff cafetaria and ate the food there, you might want to follow suit :s13:
If gambled for years and only lose a Toyota vios means the person is a controlled gambler, nothing to worry about.

come back after you can sustain staying away.. no need to haolian just because u got away for a few months which is laughable.. a lot of people 'quit' smoking but return after months/years too LOL...
because we are humans, there are temptations every single moment

If i may dare suggest, the solution is NOT staying away but to face your demons and gamble mindfully, meaning knowing when to stop and not let it dominate your life. you are not going to bring your money to your grave anyway.

quite true wor, moi just quitted smoking not long ago, less than a year, but I am always keeping a new box of my fav ciggies at the driver side compartment and tell myself if I ever do need it, I can always reach for it, no need to find any excuses. So far, manage to resist my urge for 9months and counting.. :)

Congratulations that you are not overly obsessed like some that they have to sell house, wife and kids! Looks like you are within some control, and are in the process of getting better control. This is really inspiring.

Gambling is only bad when you're losing a lot. I've been gambling for a long time and don't foresee myself quitting because the high you get from gambling can't be found anywhere else.

As long as you keep yourself level-headed and play within your limits, you'll be fine.
