Hi guys,

Just wondering about the dangers of radiation with the network and wireless devices most of us use in a typical household. This usually includes WIFI devices like tablets, laptops and so on receiving wireless signals. Also, we have routers and all transmitting wireless signals throughout the household for long hours everyday. Let's exclude cell phones since they are sort of like an essential part of our lives now.

Are the levels of radiation emitted by these devices safe? Are there any implications from long term exposure? I've wondered about this since I sleep occasionally with the router on in my room and all.

It's EVERYWHERE. You can switch off yours, but you can't switch off your neighbors'. Not to mention permeating every corner of everywhere (otherwise cellphones wouldn't be useful at all). If you just want to talk about wifi, just do a scan. I'm pretty sure you can see a handful of wifi hotspots just by standing in place.

Look on the bright side. Since EVERYONE is subjected to the same aura, everybody is subjected to the same possible harmful effects (if any, scientifically not proven). In this case, nobody has a head-start on death.

The maxi transmit power of your mobile phone is similar to maxi transmit power of your WiFi router.Local regulator cap WiFi router maxi lower to 100mW. My advice is not to talk too long on the mobile phone at your ear especially on weak coverage area.
