I am thinking using mainboard chipset for the raid 0

My old pic only up to two drive.

I know Intel have 750 but very expensive.

I am using 4 x Plextor M6P. My answer is don't waste money on using 4 drives. There is a bottleneck.

RAID 0 min 2 drives but it can be more than 2 drives.

I used to own two crucial m4 x2 raid 0 can get near to 1GB transfer speed.

Thinking of using Intel 750 where it guarantee 2.4GB transfer rates.

Thinking of using Intel 750 where it guarantee 2.4GB transfer rates.

4 x M6P maxed out @ 1.5GB/s, I tried 5 drives also the same. So its due to chipset limitation. I believe you need a RAID controller card to overcome the limitation.

Ebay do sell RAID controllers at decent prices.

But I am thinking might as well sell off the SSD and buy the Intel 750 instead.

Got feel to buy 2x 850 Pro 256GB for RAID 0, then current 840 Pro go into my Mac hahah
Current system oso no room for NVME or PCI-e SSD stuff..

Take note, if you are planning to boot from this 750 SSD, your UEFI BIOS will need to have NVMe add-on. So far, mostly only Z97 and X99 MB have this support.
