Hi Programmers Den,
We are a bunch of SMU students doing our small part to encourage more JC/Poly students to code!
We tied up with a Professor in SMU to organize a National Coding Championship(supported by IDA!) that will really be fun for all, plus, the winners get to have a Letter Of Recommendation to get into the University of their Dreams!
JC/Poly Students can play on CodeCombat.com and earn badges, which will then be tracked by my Professor's platform. They should join asap because the cut off is 14 March.
The top 40 from each category will be selected for a live event in SMU and the top 5 JC and top 5 poly students will have the Letter of Recommendation.
We are hoping that not just the coders to join, but to encourage those who has never tried before to earn their first badge on CodeCombat.
We will really appreciate it if you can help us in this cause in 3 ways.
1. Let us know people whom you know we should reach out to.
2. Like our Facebook Page. Just search Codevantage
3. Share our competition photo
We hope to get at least 100 people to try coding for the first time!
