Hi

I had recently bought Asus UX32LN laptop , with additional upgrade of 4GB Ram , bringing the total ram size to 8GB. However, when i check my system property under computer , the hard disk states only 186GB and Partition 258GB . Its not even more than 6GB , yet Anyone can enlighten on this issues?

Hmm...
8GB is the RAM.

The harddisk is 186GB + 258GB = 444GB.
this model have Harddisk of 500GB. 444GB is more or less the usable space that you get on a 500GB harddisk. :)

You can resize the partition provided your data chunks are properly aligned.

You can try the built in Microsoft Windows Partition way:

Can I repartition my hard disk? - Windows Help

If you cannot get the harddisk size you desire, you can try defragmenting your harddisk first and do the above again.

If not, you can also try using 3rd party partition tools such as:
Free Partition Magic alternative and Partition Manager Freeware for Windows XP/Vista/7/8.

Cheers!
