I built a new setup before ** started with:

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max MB
Ryzen 5 3400G
G.Skill Sinper X DDR4 3600Mhz 16GB
No GPU card

MSI Bios AMP detected the RAM at 3600Mhz but the RAM speed cannot run at 3600 when I enable it. I tried forcing it by manually setting it to 3600 or the timing but bios failed to post. I had to reset the bios. I emailed MSI and the reply is that that G.Skill RAM is not supported at 3600 on B450 Tomahawk Max and asked me to set to 3200. At 3200, it works.

However I saw on youtube, there are build videos shows the same MB and RAM works at 3600. Ended up I LL running it at 3200 for now.

Check the the MB QVL for RAM before you buy the RAM.
