Hi,
Recently I get a Q9550 system just to try on overclocking.
and it manage to boot at FSB 380 but not FSB 400fsb. My target is to get 3.4GHz. Could it be due to my RAM which does not allow overclock or the motherboard ? I suspect the RAM is giving weird frequency. Pls advise.
Below is the specs:

Intel Q9550 @2.83GHz on scythe zipang heatsink
Gigabyte ga-ep45-ud3
8gb RAM (Kingston KVR800D2N6/2G X 3pcs)
Enermax EPR525AWT PRO82+ 525W power supply
Powercolor HD4770 512mb graphics

I've never tried OC'ing before, after running CPU-Z, I found
my CPU Core speed keeps jumping from 2.8GHz to 3.2GHz randomly. what do you reckon.
