Ram slot/ motherboard problem

Hi, I'm using a biostar tp67+ motherboard. When I on my computer I noticed smoke and sparks coming out of the cap next to the ram slots. Can it be repaired? Can anyone share contact for good repair shop?

Do u mean the CPU side or Ram got smoke?

I think it's not able to be repaired if it's a bloated capacitor or vrms that causes it. And beside that the affected area are also quite hard to be replaced. End up still best that u change for a new mb,cpu and ram.

Hi may I ask wat vrms stand for? Also is there any mb u recommend as this mb is out of production and I don wish to replace ram or processor. I think my processor is i2500.

VRM is stand for voltage regulator module. where by them help in the regulating in the power draws.

if u want will be seek those 2nd hand market like carousell or it garge like in HWZ or VRZ.

b4 that u dive into it, i do suggest u open out your case and do a quick check on where does the burn comes from. and if u dunno which parts u can take a picture to upload here and show it to us, and we den can see what are the parts u can salvage.

but bear in mind that if it affects your cpu den u still have to get those new parts, but it its ram u still need to get a 2nd mb and ram as well.
