Watched a few Indian movies myself

"Monkey Man"
A couple of films based on the Sepoy rebellion like" Mangal Pandey - The Rebellion", " Junoon"
"The White Tiger"
"All We Imagine as Light"

If you are interested in critically acclaimed movies..... Probably a few more but these are the ones that comes to mind .....

Don't like those with dancing and songs but movies that examine social issues and human existence.

Yes there is some nice Indian movie in netflix.
Weekend you can try to watch is nice.
At same time can learn some Hindi and can use to integrate with them and know their culture more. Is good for us.
Love them deep deep

correction - lord of the rings ( mods : get to work! )

Ramayana and Mahabharata are the two great Indian Epics predating any of Tolkien’s works.

More comparable to Journey to the West in cultural significance.

ah gui watch more commercial ones

but actually Bollywood got quite some good films, very entertaining

Pegasus equivalent probably, but it’s good they finally do this kind of adaptation, high quality I hope, last time there was also a Ramayan comic book series quite nicely done

I got watch "3 idiots". Very funny movie

Not sure if want to give it a chance. I think the only one that I like to watch is the monkey man, with very good action choreography

as for many of those other movies that has very good cgi and cinematography, some of them left me disappointed cos script and acting are weak

whereas lord of the rings have been good whether it’s script or cinematography
