Random BSOD/Infinite BIOS Loop

Hi all,

As title above. Im encountering random BSOD or suddenly pc restart and stuck at the beep sound infinitely. I had tried different ram and ssd for the os itself and the system is almost a bare skeleton.

System Spec.
intel i5-4460
1 x 8gb ddr3 1600mhz
240 gb cruxial ssd

Is it a new build or old PC? If random BSOD and sudden PC restart while using OS, could be hardware failure, corrupted driver or OS. If unable to boot with beeping sound, confirm hardware failure.

Beeping sound likely ram, vga. Random restart could also be cpu issues. Check temp of your cpu

tried on different ram slot with different ram too.

there no graphic card installed in this system as it purely for work not gaming.

main issue is that the problem come about randomly. sometime i can use it for days without encountering this. some times i need to leave the system off for 1/2 a day and it fixed itself.

checked the temperature of the core itself its around 60 degree.

60 degs is pretty hot for a system at idle

opps. i mean 60 degs at peak from hwmonitor. idle giv me upper 40+ to 50

Maybe is PSU dieing ? Try to swap PSU if you have spare since you have swapped RAM and this still happen, it might be the motherboard/ CPU or PSU.

i dont have a spare psu to test.
If so that i will be changing to a new system, is it worth getting amd ryzen 2200g or wait for the 3k series?

Depends on how urgent you want your new computer. Up to you AMD ryzen 3rd gen only coming out middle of 2019.

The only thing you can reuse from your old rig would only be the PSU and SSD.

Another alternative is you buy a new PSU to test (or borrow from a friend) and still a problem, then that PSU can be used for you new rig.

Actually for your usuge, the athlon 200ge is Good enough.
