Dear all,

I've been experiencing random FPS drop in game. My FPS usually hovers around 200~300, but sometimes it plummets to 50~60 for a good 3 seconds before it recovers. Initially thought my graphic card isn't good enough, and I went to upgrade to Zotac GTX 970. Also tried doing a fresh install of drivers using DDU. Despite all these, problem persist.

My rig is as shown on the right side >>>

Please advise if you guys have experienced and managed to solve this issue. Many thanks in advance.

Last resort will be to do a fresh installation of Win8.1 :(

I know right. the raw PC specs is already an overkill for this game but it's small niggling issues like this which kills the fun n

tried:-

fpsmax 101

in csgo console?

it'll cap your fps at 101, but won't have that issue. Used to have that issue, but in the end, i formatted everything and reinstalling everything since I need a new environment.

The card is pulling too much frames for the game. It will give you a throttling experience.

No card can constantly output you 200fps at all times. It will be heated up too much and throttle once in awhile. Is not that the core is hot. But the vrms is.
