Recently, my pc been behaving really weirdly at times.

1. When I watch videos on youtube then audio and video will lag every few second. Restarting chrome does not help. Restarting the pc fixes this.

2. Whole pc lags randomly. As I am writing this I can feel my pc lagging. I not sure how to explain this but it is not the usual smoothness that I know of. Opening folder or even moving the mouse cursor i can tell there is this micro lag happening constantly.

I have vidoes for both this phenomenon. Any idea what is happening?

Took a screenshot of the task manager and the cpu is running at 100%

The lag is due to your CPU running at 100%. I get the same thing when using Handbrake with 100% CPU utilization.

As to why your CPU is at 100%, System and Compressed Memory is at 47% and Interrupts at 15%. These are way higher than they should be. You have a bad driver somewhere .... You can try trouble-shooting to identify the problem driver but a clean Windows reinstall may be easier.

Restart your computer every week?

Assuming you are already using SSD and have sufficient RAM.... downgrade to windows 8?

How far back do I have to go?

Anyway the problem usually revolves around Chrome and it happened around the time I installed Bitdefender (Which was 2 of the solution offered)
I'll see how it goes the.

*edit* checked and the only restore point I have is 4 days ago.

Had a similar issue recently (I have Bitdefender installed too) and apparently it may have to do with high HDD utilization due to lots of P2P traffic. I was torrenting huge file batches with hundreds of simultaneous connections and the resulting System Interrupt utilization of the CPU (+ what I suspect is bitdefender struggling to check every single bit of data coming through) meant I was getting very frequent microfreezes of a few seconds each.

Not sure whether this anecdote will help, but hope it helps you identify the issue.

You may want to disable / uninstall any Chrome extension. Sometime the extensions may have been updated without your knowledge and the latest version may have bugs. Do that and monitor

It might also be caused by bad hdd.
I've kana before, reformat and was okay for awhile. Run diskchk without issue too.
