i 've tried taking pics using long shutter speed but the pic always turn out to be dark.
i'm using pns digicam btw.
Your aperture setting is the one that control the amount of light that u want to get.
Example,
F2.0 ( bigger aperture ) which can take in more light than F5.0 ( smaller aperture ).
With bigger aperture, your shutter speed can be faster to get the same amount of light as compared to smaller aperture.
The reason why the LX3 can take night photo better as the min aperture is F2.0. Most compact cameras are normally F2.8.
Shutter speed / Aperture control / Exposure - All play an important role in a good picture.
Of course, creativity is also a very important key to a good picture. I see some very good photos. Not complicated but there is a meaning behind each picture.
