Supposed to.This i do know ... but it doesn't matter much to most ppl who use a tripod, set it under long shutter till 60 sec at ISO 100, the shots that come out at night are still fabulous ... i have a LZ7 Venus 3 processor-based lumix which i had tried before and the shots are very acceptable at ISO 100 settings ...
Hehe ... i dun know if the Venus 4 processor might do it better or not ... anyone tried ... ???
Venus IV
This section requires expansion.
Panasonic claims that the 2008 Venus Engine IV gives higher-quality images, and includes more accurate detection and better correction for its Optical Image Stabilizer and Intelligent ISO Control functions. It works at 9.1-megapixel resolution. Panasonic have published a detailed comparison of Venus III and IV; better noise response by preserving detail, quick response shutter release time lag of around 0.008 second minimum and high power-efficiency are claimed for Venus IV.
Reviews of cameras which compare the Venus IV engine to Venus III suggest that the newer engine is better, but the issue of noise reduction techniques losing detail remains, though improved[citation needed].
