Just stumble into this thread.....wow....nice pictures.
I'm using this Nikon E4100.....FOC handed to me by my sis....

Took good pictures during the day.....but fares real bad during the night.

Here are some examples....hope helpful Bros can tell me what went wrong.

Use Auto mode....flash goes off

Switch to Night scene mode.....yah the lanterns come out nice since they are the focus....but the surroundings pitch dark wor.....I was hoping to see the vehicles.....if not the entire picture looks eerie!

Should I get a new, more powerful digicam? Have to be compact (point n snap best) since for travelling.
