thanks for taking time to reply. appreciate your suggestions.First shot I think shifting a little to the left will be slightly better as the building on the left is being cropped off.
Second shot, I think shifting a little upwards will be good. Covers the entire MBS in the picture. Currently has a small portion cropped off.
Other than that, photos generally looks good.![]()
The view finder not giving you 100% of the scene in front of you could be due to parallex error (which I experience too). Do you happen to be using a camera with the normal glass view finder or one with an electronic view finder (those with a mini LCD screen in place instead).thanks for taking time to reply. appreciate your suggestions.
#1: it was a choice between chopping off the left building or finishing the right end where fullerton hotel stops which i didn't quite like.
#2: absolutely agree. i should have been more observant with that.
p/s: have been trying to work on the composition of my shots and have been disciplining myself not to even crop my shots during post-processing. i feel though that my viewfinder is not giving me 100% of the scene in front of me ....
Well you do need wider lens in that casethanks for taking time to reply. appreciate your suggestions.

standard view finder. nikon D70s.The view finder not giving you 100% of the scene in front of you could be due to parallex error (which I experience too). on DX format, i doubt i can afford a true wide-angle lens. no particular technique for black & white actually because i suck at post-processing. nikon D70s does not have native black & white so i do use picasa for the simple conversion.Well you do need wider lens in that case
Anyway any techniques to share for turning the picture greyscale?

The last one the reflection is nice. Was it photoshopped or originally like that?
Simply beautiful.![]()
You can use Photoshop to do it. There is a Desaturisation/Black and White feature. Some cameras on the other hand has a setting for you to toggle to capture the photo in black and white.Well you do need wider lens in that case

Haha. I hope the weather will be good also. It has been raining so frequently these few weeks.Thanks.
A tripod is needed for night shots because of the longer exposure.
I did not do much PP for the shots after listening to the senior's advise.
Basically just make sure that the perspective horizon ok.
Next few days will be on leave. Can take some more....hope weather is ok.
