Don't stick yourself the usual standing angle.
Try different angles especially low angle, there are times that I need to squat, kneel down etc I just do. Sometimes I feel like lying down to shoot though..lol :s13:
Always bear in mind to apply rules of third & leading lines technique during composition (can crop later but doing it correct from start is better).
Shoot as many shots as possible (sufficient battery life & memory space lor), watch out & spot for object & frame them about 1/3 (left or right depends) of the frame.
Play with aperture for DOF if possible.

You should have attended the "Basic Photography - Compose it right" last 2wks' SAM photograhpy talk, think there's a Travel Photography too..;)

all those i've been doing it.. but dunno why i'm just no happy with most shots..
and i think my kx's 3.6k shutter count for a month means i actually machinegunned quite a lot..

so far rule of thirds is okay for me
my main problem is sometimes quite hard to spot the leading lines and finding angles that fit the golden rule

btw, i'm from jb la.. how to attend workshop in sg..? lol

Wah, 3.6k/mth is highly utilized. You using continous shot?
If you've been practising correctly then I guess you need to view more pics of others to get inspiration.

Forgot u from JB :o
