hi bump for new question, refraining from starting a new thread.

i recently updated bios

an asrock motherboard.

after updating, my computer kept getting bsod-ed.

i read that my sata settings might have been changed, from ahci to ide or vice versa. i toggled it back to ide and it is now working.

i have also read that ahci is a faster mode for ssd, but whenever i attempt to change it to ahci, i would get bsod-ed. any advice for me?

i have tried tweaking with regedit as i have seen from other forums, but to no avail.

reinstall windows

before u do so.

set sata to correct setting

then install

After you did the Regedit thing, you need to restart and go into BIOS to change to AHCI.

i tried this twice on 2 coms both times worked for me without having to reformat

Just reinstalled.
