Has anyone experienced this before?

So far never happened while gaming, but once in awhile while surfing the net / watching videos my screen suddenly goes black for a few seconds and goes back again to normal. Using dual monitors, both screen blacks out at the same time.

CPU is still running though, nothing is cut off (discord / skype calls) etc.

Just that the screens go black for a few seconds.

Have updated to the latest version for gpu already..

Thanks!

normally this happens when you oc you gfx card. then they revert back to default settings.

just open hwmonitor and see any abnormality. or try running one monitor and see how it goes.

I suggest that you try with a single monitor and see if the problem persist.

Happened to me before. It turned out to be the old hdmi cable, changed to the newer HDMI 2.0 cable and never blacked out anymore.

I occasionally have this issue with a single monitor, usually occurs when I have a YT Video running in the background, while watching streams on another tab (within the same browser).

Screen blacks out for 10-15 seconds, but I can still hear the videos playing.

After the screen goes back to normal, desktop is normal (Wallpaper still display), but opening windows smaller than screen resolution will result in a black background above the taskbar.

Hmm, might switch my hdmi cable with a DP one to see if it fixes my issue when I have the time:s12:

for my case the amd integrated graphics driver was faulty and cause monitor flickering at 4k resolution. endured for a few years until the october 2020 drivers fixed the issue

Happened to me too for RTX2070 when youtube tab in edge is open. Gaming no issue. Updating driver did not help. So just lived with it, minor annoyance.
