Singtel customer service really funny.
I wanted to transfer ownership for my mobile number, and the Shirley asked me to go online using "My Account". I tried going online, and I encounted an error. (I tried clearing cache, use different browsers, devices, etc.)

I then used the Whatsapp service, 1 Customer Service Operator (CSO), told me that the website is down. Another CSO told me that need go down to the Singtel shop.

I contacted 1688, and the CSO told me to use Whatsapp service as they have access to the account to make the transfer (Which they obviously don't have, even after verifying all my details through another form they sent me), or I can use the forms.

I then used their online forms, help.singtel.com/form. I received a call 1 day later, the CSO asked me if I contacted someone else beforehand. I said 'Yes', he then said 'I will then mark this as resolved' and he hung up the phone. I guess what he was trying to ask was 'Did someone already contact you?'

Last straw, I contacted 1688 again, this time I asked if they can help me do the transfer over the phone. The CSO said 'No' (which is understandable), but if he was going to say 'No', why bother asking to verify my IC and Name. Furthermore, he said that Singtel removed the feature to "Transfer Ownership" online.

Mixed responses here and there, I ask until sian already.
So I guess the only way for me to "Transfer Ownership" is to go down to Singtel Shop, which I won't go until probably Phase 2 or 3

Shirley has improved a lot since the beginning of her coming into the picture, but honestly this AI is not helpful.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/account-billing

My advice is to try again at different time of the day and it might help. Make sure the other party must have a valid onepass account, or else it also won't work..

Shirley sucks & so does stinktel.

Am not gonna get my blood pressure up again but all i will say is one 24 month contract is more than enough for ten lifetimes!

CS staff who bullshyt u into signing up by giving incorrect info. Mgmt defending them by denying they intentionally misled u however mgmt will ensure “more training”. 🙄

My experiences with SingTel customer services are positive.

Firstly, my expectations are pretty low when dealing with ISPs (I use SingTel and Starhub).

Secondly I do not need much technical help anyway, this forum and Google are in general more helpful when it comes to technical questions.

Lastly I will say SingTel is better than Starhub.

So in the end I feel SingTel is okay.

Shirely the AI is certainly not helpful. But she knows she needs to get help when you say No to her answer.

I usually use the MySingtel App to message SingTel support, the most recent one was on a billing issue this January.

I will say No to Shirley's answer.

"Hi Shirley, please get a human to help. Sorry but AI is not so helpful in this case."

She will then say.
"I will need to get my colleague's help on this. As there are very few agents available at the moment, we will need some time before coming back to you."

Then a human will come to the rescue of Shirley.

Call 1608 and report fault with home line. Eventually speak to operator who will transfer to 1688.

To me it is better may just go to SingtelShop, walk in, use your phone to grab an e-queue number in just one click, a Customer service will attend and help you resolve your issue in a second of smile. For cases need the process of identify verification, change personal details, it would also be better do at the spot for them to identify/verify us and safe as well. SingtelShop is not crowded and empty recently (just went there this morning) so they will serve you faster, better and effectively when it comes in face-to-face meeting.
