That's weird, you should see 3 partitions. I'm not sure what happened to your SD card then.

oh no.... I also find it weird, not like what others talking about online... It was working OK last night in RPi. Maybe tonight I try again with my MBA. I am doing this with work laptop now.

Guys I got a problem.

I have a old 8GB SD card. I used it for Raspberry Pi recently. Just now I wanted to put in another distro image, so I used SDFormatter (as recommended online) to format. But after that, the storage becomes 69MB only. What goes wrong? I cannot change it back to 8GB no matter that I tried.

Please help!

What are the steps you have "tried"? Have you used win32diskimager? When it writes the OpenElec image to the SD card, everything is erased and overwritten anyway.

Else use the Xbian installer to erase and load Xbian (which I prefer) on your card.

Yes I followed the steps online, win32diskimager is to create the image of OpenElec, that is when I got the error that space not enough. SDFormatter supposed to do the job but it did not.

Anyway, I tried putting it into RPi, cannot boot, so I put it into my camera, format it again, and from my MBA I can see that it is 8GB now.

Must have been the Mac OS issue lah. Try using any Windows PC to do the imaging of the SD card instead.

I dunno about you guys but OpenElec always gives me USB problems right from boot. All 5 of my mice couldn't work on my first OpenElec image, either cannot detect or all would stop moving after 10 seconds of booting up. Switched to Xbian never had any problems. 1 month later gave the latest OpenElec image another go, cannot detect thumbdrive. Xbian never had such problems.

That was the 1st time I used my MBA to check that SD card. The 1st time I created Raspbmc image, I was using my work Windows laptop. The time I got into trouble with this SD card, it was also on my work Windows laptop. After it got formatted using camera, I used my MBA coz I was too lazy to take out my work laptop from backpack.

So it got nothing to do with Mac OS.

OpenElec loaded smoothly, faced no issue. Just that, the end product, XMBC, is as sluggish as that on Raspbmc.

Hi all,

Where can I buy the Raspberry Pi in Singapore? Any shops in SLT or SLS? Or must I order online?
