Going to be getting a new com primarily for gaming, hoping to get some pointers on my current list
tbh, I don't foresee myself going to play games like BF4 on this PC but I would like that option to play similar intensive games.

Paying more for premium brand and almost the features that you dont really use.

Over priced and not worth the money. Unless you are going for high end mobo from asus. Else other brands dont make any diff.

serious windows 8 have the wow factor when ur comp boot up in few sec.

there are certain conditions when it can boot up fast. it will take longer if you have a few hdd connected

$850 = 2 cards r9 280x, with the savings from other component pickings.
i believe royfrosty's pov is to attain max perf for the budget, & not this brand or that brand better as ur thinkg...

Doesn't mean you pay top dollars for a board means = reliable. From years of experience, be it whatever brand you take the board will tend to fail whether its early or late. The most important factor is the RMA process. Having ready stocks to do an exchange.

I leave it to you. Would you rather pay more that offers you no performance value. Or would you pay something that give you the extra horsepower? Paying more does not mean last longer.
