Ray tracing GPU (1440p) recommendations

I'm currently using a RX 7900 GRE and it's great for everything else but cannot do ray tracing at all. I'm wondering how much a decent ray tracing capable GPU would set me back for 1440p

Just get a 5080, performance improvement not a lot just about 15% but ray tracing will be stronger. The bare minimum get a 5070ti if you want to save a couple of hundreds

9070XT doing RT pretty decently now also
carousell 1k can get already

Budget tight: 9070XT.
Budget not so tight: 5070Ti.
Budget not tight: 5080/5090.

Using a 5080, i can run Cyberpunk with PT at 3440x1440 using DLSS balanced and 2x FG running at 100 - 120fps.

If want RT, sorry, i won't consider 9070XT at all. They are getting better, but still no way near nvidia solution.

i using 5070 for my 1440p monitor. Once on FG x4, u will see ur FPS boosted.

if i dont care abt image quality ill just buy amd and use fsr3

granted RT intensive games 9070XT definitely will lose, but im done giving my $$ to a company that doesnt cares about it's customers~

im pretty happy with my 2 9070XT cards and even the 9070 non XT
no issues playing any new games with RT on maybe except for Blackmyth Wukong

Both AMD and NVIDIA do not care about their customers, just get whatever is most value for your needs.

Thanks all. looks like 5070 ti, 5080, and 9070xt. Personally I'm leaning towards an nvidia gpu because the amd gpu i'm using now is giving me problems that I've never had with nvidia.

Any suggestions on where to buy from? I'm waiting on 6/6 to check shopee and lazada

Tats true. All company want to earn $$$. Same for intel last time as they r the only processors maker for home PC last time till cyrix and amd come out. But they still dominate the CPU world.

So LL have to buy their processors or upgrade under their mercy.
I feel is kind of a cycle till some company will ovetake Nvidia for their GPU....
