Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 Randomly Disconnecting
Recently I've been having this problem with my keyboard.
After using for awhile, it auto disconnects from the computer while still being plugged in. I have to unplug, wait for a brief few seconds before plugging back in to the same port to have it respond. I know it disconnects because nothing happens when I press the keys. At times, the backlight just shuts off completely. Backlight mode is set to be at mid brightness all the time, not the pulsating mode so its not the settings problem. Keyboard was bought late last year and I never had any problem with it until the last few days.
At times, when it happens and I unplug and plug back in like how I explained earlier, it still doesn't respond. Then I'd have to switch ports. It was plugged in to the back-side of the desktop but now I'm using the USB 3 port at the front.
What is wrong with my keyboard? What went wrong?
I've heard this is a problem with razer products as I have previously owned a razer tarantula. I had this problem back then but I forgotten how I got over it. I heard it has something to do with the dynamics of how razer products works that causes this. To some extent, some people even got blue screens because of razer products.
This happens at the most random times and that causes me to be unable to find out what triggers it to happen. At times it stops responding (disconnects) when I'm using it half way (typing, playing games, dota2). At times, it just simply decides to stop responding after leaving my computer alone for awhile.
Has anyone experience any problems of such? How did you solve it?
I've yet to reinstall the drivers. Could that be the problem?
P.S: On a side note, any recommendations for mechanical keys to replace this? I've become sick of razer products..
