is the destructor better then exactmat? my mouse uplorry soon and im interesting in getting some razer stuff to replace, and any idea when megalodon will be out?

Definitely better, a big improvement. Megalodon should be a few more months i guess. But i think 7.1 on headphones abit overkill, 5.1 enough already.

Uh when i said better, i meant the Destructor. It's much smoother than eXact. After you use Destructor you won't wanna change back to eXact. Yeah the Barracuda is 5.1, comes with a detachable mic. Where to test... you have to ask denniszz.

Any news of this new Carcharias? I received the newsletter and was surprise to see 'Megalodon' there. I thought they changed the name to that but when I see the small control nod, it seems to be a different Megalodon.

It looks like a bigger ear cup with larger soundstage of the Piranha .. Any news?

Mine even better, the moment i opened the box it was snapped already, had to RMA haha. But you can't deny that the sound quality is good, especially so with the AC-1.

I'm thinking of Piranha or Barracuda (since they're the ones available on retail now), but heard Piranha will have comfort problems for long gaming hours.

So I can use the Barracuda for my laptop?

Well I'm a long time user of Piranha. The ear cup fits onto my ears perfectly. But because the ear cup is directly on top of my ear lob, it causes some pain after extensive use.

I used barra before. Its not the headband that is weak, its the ring thingy above the ear cup. Its just a really thin piece of metal supporting the upsized cups.

It's not that the bands are fragile, it's the connecting ring. You have to see to understand. I'm using the Barracuda and very happy with it. But comfort will be a problem la, hurts after a few hours. I believe all gaming headphones are like that. The headphones that don't hurt are those Beyerdynamics or Bose or Audio-Technica kind for audiophiles.

Oh uhm btw the headphones might not be a good idea for laptop. It's 5.1 and you need the different audio jacks to make full use of it. So unless you have an external sound card or something you'll prolly be underutilizing the Barracuda.

I'm okay with underutilizing, have plans for new desktop + Razer's audio card to go with it
Hmm.. the connecting ring ar.. Means I need to duct tape it if it snaps on me. But I don't like Megalodon's name, lolol :x I guess I'll wait abit more, if Megalodon takes too long to come to Singapore or cost too much, I'll pass it for Barracuda.
