John from what learn some post back and after some PM from them.
1. Install the drivers from the official razer website and not in the give CD.
2. My friend using the lachesis on win 7 64 bit with no issues.

Hey people - just curious but those who bought their razer via retail stores(i.e SLS), is there a Ban Leong sticker on the packaging?

Cheers

It's mentioned aboved...
The drivers on Razer CD is outdated RUBBISH.
Go download the latest driver from RAZER <--direct link for lazy ppl

Always get latest driver from the manufacturers website for all computer stuff.
I dont understand why they(manufacturers) provided cd containing driver which are often outdated rubbish

because the discs are printed in batches ie when the mouse is first released ? do you expect them to release updated discs with every batch ?

IMO, manufacturers shouldn't make the CD and instead reduce the price of the product.

$1-$2 is manufacturer's cost...
By the time it reaches the end-users, probably $5-$10...

I did rather they throw in a nice micro-fibre pouch to keep my mouse than a CD driver.
Gimmicky but i prefer it.

Not all Razer products come with drivers/firmware CDs. DeathAdder 3.5G for example comes without one.

Like you said, gimmicky. Razer's heavy on marketing and advertising, the whole thing with the cert of authenticity plus the driver CD - they're part of the package. True, i'd rather a fibre cloth for cleaning my mouse but not likely to happen. Too little incentive for manufacturer. :o
