Hi guys, I've been producing guitar cover videos on YouTube using a iPhone 5, while the quality is decent, I would like to buy a dedicated HD Camcorder to achieve a quality similar to this video:

Audio capture does not matter since the audio will be recorded seperately and sync with the video using video editing software."

Any good HD Camcorders below $300? Or worst case scenario i can stretch till $400. Any suggestions will be welcome!

Ok. The good and bad

Firstly, you know how to sync audio and video together, which is a start, but IMO, it is a PITA when you start using better equipment. Whenever possible, ALWAYS try to record both together for peace of mind.

Cheap camcorders, if you don't mind MANUAL FOCUS ( which should not be a problem if you are just sitting down and strumming away ), you can make do with an older generation DSLR like the Canon EOS 500D with 18-55mm. These go for avg $400. Enough to get you started, and cheaper than an iphone..

The Bad
Don't expect to get a friend / gf..etc to try recording you at gigs UNLESS you remain stationary. Manual Focus Video recording is an art which not many have nowadays...

I'm also guessing that you're recording the guitar audio via line in to an audio interface? If so, that is the correct way. If not, air con with a condenser mic, windshield and a big ( DND ) sign pasted on the door to prevent someone from opening it should suffice. My preference is to go through an Eleven Rack and Pro Tools..
