My 10mb contract just over and ST charge me $36+ in my latest bill. I just signed to M1 fibre and will terminate my ST 10mb next week
Are you sure that $36+ is not pro-rated as some bros mentioned the normal non-contract fee is around $40+

I was told about this "unfair" condition about termination of singnet broadband today.
They take 7 days to terminate the service excluding sat,sun
My 1yr contract is ending on 18March and I have informed them I am going to terminate when the contract period ends.
So the termination date will be 27March.

I have told them I have inform you that I want to terminate which is >7days before the contract is due why cant you terminate exactly the day. The ans was they can terminate 7 days after contract ends otherwise early termination charges applies.

So I believe singtel is going to charge "non promotion" rates from 19-27March.

Try calling in again. I believe I managed to terminate exactly on the last day when contract and promo rates end.... Call earlier to inform, no reason why cannot.

Yes, should be pro-rated cos they bill full month but my contract ends 21st of the month I think.
In any case, ST only offered me the same fibre plans that new subscribers get, instead of a better one for re-contract customer,
which will be nett $43+ per month after fees/waiver, so may as well jump ship.

So termination charges is based on when termination is requested and not actual termination date?

Indeed, no more 10mbps... and their 15mbps retention plan is a joke... 29.90?

And if you don wish to wait 7 days... u can push for quicker termination.

Looks like home BB is down to:
1. Green Cable (25Mbps) $25/m; Cable 50M at $30/m;
2. Red ADSL (15Mbps) $30/m;
3. Fibre $38/m (M1 after 3-mth free)

any installation charges for a SNBB user to take up green or m1 as stated above?

Was waiting for the IT show got good deals to end my problem-free 10Mpbs service but... none.

Now looks like orange and green camps got their problems with china-based webbies. MR long waiting list is unbearable. So its still red camp as the most stable?

I was on the $23 10mbps plan with $5 rebate for homeline.

Was just offered the $30 15mbps plan like everyone else, but I negotiated successfully for $10 rebate for the homeline... so its like $2 more for bumpup to 15mbps. Not too bad in my opinion.
