Yup, it's the fibre point installation, the one that cos $200++ one if opennet haven fixed for free. And they also waive the ONT installation charge, unlike M1, where you must pay $58.85. And M1 only give n-router, starhub give ac-router.

Hmm.. dunno starhub performance how. But I think all providers also quite slow during peak hours, unless u go the premium ones like myrepublic or viewquest

starhub free fibre point install, what is ont? btw they give free ac-router too?

ont= optical network terminal. It is like the fibre broadband's 'modem', which you connect to the fibre terminal point.
Basically the setup is like this:
Fibre point on wall--(fibre cable)--ONT--(ethernet cable)--Router

Routers:
Starhub giving D-link DIR865L(worth $200++), which is AC standard
M1 offer ASUS N56U(worth $100++), which is only N standard

For a $24.90 Starhub 25Mbps Cable, International speed at 12Mbps (Slightly faster than 10Mbps Singnet), even if he to take the Digital Voice still only $34.90. $5 cheaper. Don't want $5 can always donate to charity one. :p

For starhub broadband or tv subscribers, digital voice only $2.10/m .

I thought that one is expiring soon on December 31st 2013?

Usually will be extended one .
Next year will change to expire on 31st Dec 2014 and so on .
Just like the free 1Mbps broadband on hubstation, every year extend the expiry date for so many years already .

I just realized it slightly different.

They called me to offer me 10Mbps and mobile broadband 1.5 @$29.90
1.5 is 1.5 gb free per month or speed ? 1.5Mbps ?
is this 1 yr contract ?

if 1 yr contract then good. I need a 1 yr contract.

No more retention programme ? Called singnet a couple days back and they readily accept my request to terminate the service without offering anything !

Still at 1.5mbps and not 7.5mbps ?
7.5mbps to a starhub is digit value ONLY
owever if u run side by side with singnet 3mbps..
u will find that singnet load much faster
when u asked starhub..
they will tell u its ACCEPTABLE simply becoz it RUN

Minimal use - Yes, but cable has higher subscribed International speed than Singnet's plans for cheaper price.

Watch Mio TV without provision second line - Hell no.

Mio TV HD needs like 10 ~ 15MBps

Make sure that you get a second line for free, if no go fiber or without Mio TV since it is not usable without second line. (And why should pay something that did not get to use)
