Improvement is usually not significant unless you have multiple people using the same network (;

Their first call took about 2 working days, telling me they will forward to the relevant dept. Another 3 working days for another call to confirm the contract details, then another call to recontract over the phone and arrange delivery of the modem.

Just to share: I managed to get the $23 plan with 3 months away from contract expiry. When I checked online it stated recontract eligibility as 1 sep but when I called singtel they told me recontract date is 28 sep and expiry is 28 dec.

After passing through 3 departments I finally got my $23 plan by insisting their online records do not tally.

1. Connect new black modem to powerline and phone line.
2. Connect LAN cable to lan 2
3. Connect pc/laptop to lan point
4. Enter Configuration screen via 192.168.1.254

1) call 1688
2) get cso to link me to retention department
3) ask for 1yr recontract @ 23.45?

hmm my experience is they need to talk to retention dept before they can transfer you over so they need a reason. so for my case when i called i told them nicely that i am aware of the 23.45 1 year plan and if they could assist me with it. than the cso will help me to contact the retention dept before connecting my call.

Thanks to all the bros here for sharing this nice info..:)

I just called the CSO and and told them there is this 1 year contract thingy.. immediately transferred me to the retention department.

Straight away, 1 year contract @ 23.45 + modem.
