spent 40min online to re-contract the 10mbps contract... :(

The retention dept promised me 10Mbps@ $23.45 for 12- months contract and a $5 Bill rebate x 12 months for home line but when doing phone recording, the sales agent did not cite the $5 bill rebate for home line... I requested that to be put on record and she said she cant do it... I insisted for her to check with the retention department and after waiting donno how long, she finally came back and put that in recording.

The next hoo-haa is the modem. Refused to give me a new one and keep insisting that the current one under warranty. I told them my current one has been in use for more than 4 years and giving intermittent signals. They said need to send technician down to check. anyone has experience with such problems?

Nowadays they will not give u a new modem.....if ur modem have a problem.....just call their tech down. If they confirm it's an issue, they will replace with new modem at no cost to u.

The verbal contract never mention da phone rebate lar. I recontracted twice before both neber mention but got $10 rebate, confirmed beforehand wit retention cso. New modem was given to me but they screw up da delivery twice, I make noise then got one month off subscription.

They also didn't give me a new modem. Said they will extend the modem warranty. Any issue just call them.

on and off had issue , most recent is intermittent cut off.
But after troubleshot realize is due to my laptop not the modem.
But they still sent a technician down to check.

sign up SH 25Mbps cable bb for $24.90 la ......

Tat quite cheap and no need to "beg"?

Don't need to beg la ..... 2 years contract, good for those who don't want to join fiber for whatever reasons ..... or 100Mbps cable bb @ $39.90 for those who wants faster speed but don't have fiber point .....

StarHub - Broadband - homebroadband

Seems like a better alternative than 10mbps ADSL at $23.. anyone on cable can tell me if access to china is good? Like PPTV/PPS streaming?

Any mandatory installation charges or is it DIY yourself?

anyone knows if the 15mbps $10 phone rebate is meant for 12 or 24mths?
I remembered last year when i recontracted I was communicating with them as 24mths rebate. But I noted that the 13th month onwards no more rebates? Or I may have got the info wrongly.

I remembered last time if I were to recontract 10mbps for 2 years I will get $5 rebate, and if recontract 15mbps for 2 years will get $10rebate for 24mths...thus the reason for me taking up the 15mbps plan. But then the time they insisted cannot issue me any black and white acknowledgement...thus I cannot remember now.

Can anyone confirm you guys got 12 or 24mths $10 rebate for your bill before I make a call to Singtel?

I am paying $27.01 per month for the 15mbps plan now.

My understanding is tat da $10 rebate is for 12 months. U can recontract yr broadband a year ahead n get another $10 for 12 months. Thus no matter how many times u recontract yr final 12 months will be without da $10 rebate. Dis is why I chose da 10mbps plan over da 15mbps.

How about da home phone rebate?

Never ask, she gave me an impression of " take it or leave it" , no more 10mbps..
between $29.90 for 2 yrs at 15mbps, and starhub $24.90 for 2 yrs at 25mbps..
I am now considering Starhub and terminating my under utilised home line..
