Didn't realise you already started a thread, I ever delayed for half day due cargo door problem when reached Dubai all flights to Singapore already left, so stuck until next day and emirates kind enough to arrange nearby airport hotel stay with transport/meal.

Sorry to hear especially when you have a baby, anyway you can follow what the ground staff recommended. Then write in formally to SQ after you return back, believe SQ will respond back in no time.

Hi bro,
Thanks for the reply.
Definitely I will write in to feedback.
Being strayed at airport and later offer to business class lounge in narita, we waited there 14-15hrs.
when touched down SG last night, 2 luggage was missing. Got to know it was left behind in Narita after I make a report.
Super bad experience this time round to fly SQ.

Claim up to 20k?
20k wat ah?

20K yen, enough for a one bedded mini hostel, lol.

I think what thread starter meant is his total claim (including flight delay, baggage delay, missing baggage probably, accommodation and transport) can claim up to 20K, for the entire family.

Thought this claim is supposed to go through travel insurance, why need to feedback to SQ?

Dun think so for last minute walk in.
They dun practices cash advance so we do not have enuff money to find ourselves in the cold weather.
Nearby hotel are full and I think no other transport than taxi as its nearly 1am.

We are traveling in group of 5, 3adults, 1adults in late 50s & a 14 mth toddler.

Waiting hours was 14-15 hrs because we took SQ637, last row of economy class without bassinet.
If we need bassinet, they will send us to haneda and took the flight which is 22hrs later.

As far as I know, in the event of a delay of such nature, it is the responsibility of airline to make necessary arrangements for passenger to layover. At the same time, to make reservation for passengers with other airlines to fly to their respective destinations with minimum delays. I had experienced flight delays during my last 40+ years of traveling and received various forms of compensation depending of nature of delays.
Write to SIA, apart from claiming from your travel insurance if you any, wait for their reply to your ordeal.

It's a common misconception actually. As you can see by TS experience, SQ most certainly didn't make any necessary arrangements :s22:

Generally, airlines are not obligated to do anything at all (except in some circumstances in US/Europe where there are actual laws governing mandatory compensation). If you check your contract of carriage, all they are obligated to do is to eventually get you to your destination that you paid for. It doesn't have to be today, or on time -- as long as eventually you get to where you need to go, the airline has fulfilled its end of the contract :)

I'm writing in but couldn't submit the form using their website.
Will try again later.

Narita airport closed at 11pm, and there's no other flight back to SG.
