scoot again... I really think there is something very very wrong with them.. they can do marketing very well and poke fun of other companies' mistakes with a lot of wit.

but their flight are always delayed.. those that frequently appear in the news are those really long and serious ones.. but on top of that there are so many other delays that are not reported.. my friend who recently took scoot also experienced last minute reschedule AND delays of at anything between 3-6 hours.. i personally have not flew with them but I guess I may never choose to do so.

most of the delay flight is from Boeing 787 Dreamliners

scoot's Dreamliner only? I've recent flew to and fro bkk via SQ's 787-10 Dreamliner and don't face any issues.. there haven't been any major delay connected to sq flights on their Dreamliners as well.

They fully utilized all their aircraft. When one sector is delayed, the rest would be affected as well ... Jetstar usually not much of such issue.
So far only experienced twice (within 5 years) with jetstar delayed an hour, when their japan to bkk flight was delayed, hence bkk to sin was affected ...

Scoot, the budget arm of Singapore Airlines, is one of several carriers hit by a series of engine glitches that have affected Rolls-Royce's Trent 1000, which powers the B-787s.

well then this truely sucks for them and their customers.. to me scoot's only advantage as a LCC is their decision to use a widebody aircraft like B787.. but it has now became the reason why most would choose not to fly with them in future.

agree ... people fly scoot as compared to jetstar is because of their b787 aircraft, more comfortable and stable ...

i hardly fly scoot nowadays ...
They have many connecting flights ...
One delay, the rest would be affected ...

Even for taipei flight, though scoot 787 might be more comfortable, but in the end go with jetstar... jetstar promo fares are more attractive, their on time performance quite good too ...

sian...my next trip to Japan by SQ using 787 also...
I doubt SQ's B787-10 is suffering the same issues as the B787-8 and B787-9 that scoot is using.. I've tried SQ's A350-900 previously on both class J and Y and thought it was impressive.. but after trying SQ's B787-10 on class J and Y recently, I can say it's cabin comfort and quality is even better than the A350-900. and I have always been slightly bias towards Airbus's planes when comparing between the two.. and so far I don't think there has been any major delay or hiccups that involves the new B787-10.
